Sara J. Landes, Ph.D., associate professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will discuss the rationale for blending clinical effectiveness and implementation research approaches/questions within the same study and will present the three types of effectiveness-implementation hybrid designs in the second session of the University of Rochester Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s (UR CTSI) fall Equity-Focused Dissemination and Implementation (EQ-DI) webinar series.

Landes is also core faculty of the UAMS Center for Implementation Research, part of the UAMS Translational Research Institute, and director of VA’s Behavioral Health Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI) Program at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. Her research interests are in the implementation of evidence-based mental health interventions, with a focus on suicide prevention, hybrid designs, and large health care systems. She has received research funding from VA Health Services Research & Development (HSR&D), QUERI, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the Department of Defense.
The UR CTSI’s Equity-Focused Dissemination and Implementation (EQ-DI) webinar series explores the bridge between research and action, and how to address issues that can speed up or slow down the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices.
