Enhance Your Toolkit: Summer 2019

Clinicians, medical students, research coordinators, and others who wish to incorporate clinical and translational research into their careers are invited to join us for this three day introduction to clinical and translational research methods.

Purpose:
Participants will be introduced to methodologies and techniques required to conduct clinical and translational research. At the conclusion of the course participants should be able to:

  • Convert research questions into specific aims
  • Discuss a range of research methods and study designs
  • Explore online bibliographic citation management software and navigate numerous proprietary databases available through the UIC Health Sciences Library
  • Explain the ethical considerations of research, including requisite Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval
