KL2 awards support mentored research career development for clinical investigators who have recently completed professional training and who are commencing basic, translational and/or clinical research
Body

The KL2 PIs/Directors Group exists to serve as an avenue for communication across the CTSA Program consortium. Its goal is to create a community of individuals with shared goals and responsibilities with the intent to foster the sharing experiences and best practices, providing an avenue to discuss pertinent topics, and lend opportunities to act in unison in addressing challenges collaboratively.

Specific Goals (2018-2019):

  • Creating a community of KL2 Program Directors to share best practices and create a forum for discussion.

  • Understanding the needs of KL2 Program Directors and training needs of the next generation of translational science researchers.

  • Creating networking opportunities to facilitate cross-collaboration on mutually beneficial projects, discuss projects and share outcomes.

  • Delineating opportunities to enhance communications with the CTSA Program Steering Committee and the Workforce Development Domain Task Force, and help inform the agenda for ACTS education initiatives committee members.
     

Membership Expectations:
Attend webinars and face-to-face meetings, contribute to discussions, share best practices.
