Toward the Clinical Translation of Ultra-High Field MRI 2019 Conference

The University of Minnesota CTSI is hosting a conference in collaboration with the University of Minnesota Center for Magnetic Resonance Research entitled, “Toward the Clinical Translational of Ultra-High Field MRI”.

The University of Minnesota CTSI, in collaboration with the University of Minnesota Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, is hosting a conference, “Toward the Clinical Translation of Ultra-High Field MRI”, for the national CTSA community on November 18-19, 2019 in Minneapolis, MN.

The continued development and availability of ultra-high field MRI systems along with recent FDA approval of 7T MRI for head and knee imaging creates the timely opportunity for a discussion among imaging centers about how this technology can positively impact clinical care. Identifying key clinical applications and developing workflows to integrate sometimes complex methods into the mainstream, require a dedicated focus of leading imaging centers currently involved in high field imaging and those individuals interested in exploring and demonstrating its potential to improve patient outcomes.

This meeting will appeal to:

  • Clinical investigators who currently use or anticipate using ultra-high field imaging in their clinical practice
  • Individuals with interests in the clinical application of ultra-high field imaging
  • Early career investigators with a dual interest in ultra-high field imaging and the management of a particular clinical problem.

Additionally, we are offering a travel award opportunity for CSTA hubs that would like to send a representative to the conference. CTSA Program hubs are eligible to designate one individual per hub to receive a stipend award of up to $500 to facilitate participation in the event. The first 20 hubs to designate a recipient will be granted awards.

To expedite our process, there will not be a formal nomination and review of applicants. We simply invite hub Principal Investigators (PIs) to designate one award recipient of their choice and fill out the online Travel Award Designation Form. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, October 8, 2019.
