NHCOA honors GHUCCTS leader Florencia Gonzalez with Research Recognition Award

On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, the National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA) honored Florencia Gonzalez with their Research Recognition Award for her “commitment to improving the health of diverse populations through research.” The virtual ceremony, called A Time for Change, recognized leaders in the field of aging who share NHCOA’s commitment to Hispanic older adults.

Gonzalez is co-director of the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) Including Diverse Populations team and a valuable member of the Community Engagement team. Yanira L. Cruz, President and CEO of NHCOA, is an active member of the GHUCCTS Community Advisory Board.
