The Oregon Clinical & Translational Research Institute (OCTRI) Recruitment team pivoted its efforts early on during the COVID pandemic in order to support clinical and translational scientists in navigating the research shutdown (and now the restart of research) at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). These efforts are shared below, in case they are helpful to other CTSA hubs:

  • Developed recruitment guidance for modified operations at OHSU within 1 week of our Governor’s stay-at-home order
  • Offered specialized consults to help investigators navigate the shut down of their research within the first week of OHSU taking steps towards modified operations
  • Continue to offer specialized consults as OHSU comes out of its research shut down
  • Developed guidance (see this video) and dissemination plan for distanced (i.e. digital) recruitment as OHSU gradually restarts its research operations.
