Director, Community Health Partnerships

The University of Rochester's Director of Community Health Partnerships (CHP) facilitates community–academic partnerships in a joint role for the Center for Community Health & Prevention (CCHP) and the Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI). The Director, CHP facilitates communication, interaction, involvement and exchange with a range of community partners to support opportunities to conduct research, partner on projects, provide services, teach and learn.

The position has both strategic and operational responsibilities and is a senior leadership role within the CCHP reporting to the Director of the CCHP/co-Director of the CTSI.  In addition, the position provides operational support for the CTSI Director of Community Engagement.

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills and strong analytical ability.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Transportation required.  Availability during the evenings and weekends may be necessary.
Qualifications: Experience

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Master’s degree preferred, and five - seven years of experience in relevant field, including at least 2 years at a managerial level in a relevant field: academic community partnerships, community engagement, relationship building, grant writing and program development, relevant work in non-profit community organization.  Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
