Fall 2020 Program Meeting Pre-Meeting POLL

Purpose

To assess the perceived importance of DEI among registrants and the barriers they experience in promoting fundamental changes.

Executive Summary

Initial Executive Summary: The CTSA Fall 2020 Program Meeting took place on November 17 and November 19-20, 2020 via GTR, a virtual platform. The Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) session organizer assessed registrants’ perceived importance of DEI and the barriers they experience in promoting fundamental change. A pre-meeting poll was sent via email to all registered attendees on Wednesday, November 11th, 2020. Overall, a total of 381 responses were received from 795 registered attendees, for a response rate of 47.9%. The majority of respondents (N=228) indicated that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was "Important," "Very Important," or "Extremely Important" to them. Data collected from this survey was presented during the CTSA Fall 2020 Program Meeting DEI Session that was held on November 19th, 2020.
