Jennifer Ronnenberg has lived with cystic fibrosis for years. But last year, thanks to a double lung transplant, she was able to start breathing on her own.

Jennifer is the guest of honor at a screening of "Five Feet Apart" hosted by the Mayo Clinic Bioethics Research Program. During the discussion panel that follows, community members will have the opportunity to ask her about her experience as a patient and whether "Five Feet Apart" gets it right.

The panel will also include Karen Meagher, Ph.D., associate director of Public Engagement for the Bioethics Research Program. This movie, she says, "shows what it's like to fall in love when you have a disease," and it explores "how a disease might get in the way or might shape how you fell in love in the first place." She looks forward to a rich discussion about the things that really matter to patients in science and medicine.
