2019 Spring Methods and Processes Meeting Evaluation Summary Report

Purpose

To elicit participant feedback on the 2019 Spring Methods and Processes Meeting

Executive Summary

On March 4th, 2019 the Spring Methods and Processes Domain Task Force Meeting was held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel between 4:30 and 7:00 PM. On Monday, March 11th, an evaluation survey was sent to all 63 attendees. The survey was composed of both quantitative and qualitative questions pertaining to the 3 subsections of the meeting: Meeting Content, Meeting Logistics and the Overall Meeting. A total of 12 unique responses were cultivated from the survey for a 19% response rate, and each was analyzed individually.

With regard to meeting content, most participants agreed that the topics discussed were valuable. However, nearly half of participants felt that not enough networking time was allotted, and over half of participants indicated that they do not understand the steps necessary to move their group forward in 2019. In addition, 55.6% of participants indicated that the in person meeting was not a valuable addition to ongoing teleconferences. In terms of meeting logistics, most participants were satisfied with the online registration process, CLIC on-site assistance, and meeting facilities, including hotels.

Overall, the average rating of the meeting was a 6 out of 10, and the median was a 7. Comments reflect that discussion of NCATS changes and feedback were particularly helpful, whereas meeting format and agenda could be improved for future meetings.
